According to philosopher Byung-Chul Han, we are an information-obsessed society that values data that describes a physical object more than the object itself, making the implied more important than the actual. Han calls these informational objects 'non-things.'

Designer Adarsh Nellore investigates non-things by crafting them through his novel sculptural technique, Polymorphic Scaffolding™, with which he is able to autonomously reconstruct almost any given form from human anatomies to furniture through photogrammetry, generative algorithms, and additive manufacturing. His 'Fractal-Spectral Polymorphs' collection is compromised of a set of human sculptures crafted from 3D scans of a human subject performing a variety of poses, demonstrating a new age of design in which data becomes material and forms are determined by machine perception and digital media.
